always a sad goodbye

Losing someone hurts, whether he or she is related to you, or whether he or she is related a person whom you know. a colleague of mine just lost her son, a boy who just turned three a day before he was mauled by a dog, dragged to a drain and left there in a pool of blood until he was found by one of his uncles.

He was rushed to the Ranau District Hospital, unconscious, given 38 stitches. He fell into coma, was warded at the hospital's Intensive Care Unit, and was told that he may suffer brain damage. He did not make it though despite all the help. God loves him more.

I know how the mother feels, her devastation of losing the younger of two siblings. All we can do is to support her and his soul with our prayers. I know she is strong, she has always appeared to me as one. She will go through the pain and she will bear the pain. The memory will, however, live.

thanks for your time ...

my mother once told me i was named by my uncle. when i was in my primary years, i remember begging my name be changed
to 'Cindy' (after Cindy Lauper - i don't know, somehow "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" was just too good to be ignored...geez),
anyways, thank God she didn't, because today, i so love my name.
thanks mummy and daddy for 'creating' me :-).
